The cultural center
Elmont Cultural Center, inc. (The Cultural Center) is an innovative and compassionate 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Elmont, New York, which exists to promote and support the self-sufficiency and wellbeing of the immigrant populations and to facilitate community engagement in and around Greater Long Island. Established in 2009 as a New York Not for Profit Corporation, our intention is to empower communities through direct actions grassroots organizing. Following our inception, the corporation remained dormant for a number of years, before becoming reenergized in 2018. With a renewed focus on program implementation and with a recognition of exemption under IRC 501 (c)(3), we continuously work towards great programs to enrich our communities with the tools to succeed.

"The Independent Redistricting Commission currently has until Jan. 1 to submit maps to the legislature for congressional, state Senate and Assembly districts".
New York Independent Redistricting Commission (NYIRC) conducted a Nassau County hearing on 11/22/21in person and on Zoom. An overwhelming sound from Elmont, "don't put us in Queens. The hearing brought out many long time defendors of district lines of over thirty years. Continue reading and watch the live hearing.
