Thank you Health Equity International for all you do! Earthquake 2021
On January 12, 2010, Haiti suffered a 7.0 magnitude earthquake, today Haiti has not repaired homes that were damaged, including the white house. On August 16, 2021Haiti suffered another devastating 7.2 magnitude earthquake. Over two thousand people have perished and over three hundred are missing. ECC along with our partner Organization HAFALI are on the ground in Haiti. We have access to the needs of the four cities we have adopted to help.
ECC partners in Haiti, HEI, with 98 percent of their staff and doctors are Haitians. They have already taken care of so many of the injured in their hospital.
Please consider donating towards our efforts in helping those who have been affected by this yet again devastating earthquake.
A great big thank you to all who helped in this effort and who continues to support the work ECC does.

Cooperation Long Island is a collective of individuals and organizations empowered to provide mutual aid.
The Elmont Cultural Center, with its vast Haitian base, works to bolster the self-sufficiency and well-being of the immigrant population on Long Island through community organizing and education -- and reimagines Long Island to be a place where equal opportunities are accessible to all families, no matter their zip code.
"We're proud to have the support of the Elmont Cultural Center as a signatory to the Reimagine Long Island initiative".

Ida devastates the North East
We are saddened by the deaths of many people in this deadly storm. Many families are now displaced and those who are lucky to have survived are left to begin the clean-up. Gov. Hochul has declared a state of emergency for New Yorkers affected by the storm. ECC will be helping some neighbors with clean-up.
As we continue to pray and help Haiti, we also remember the people of Afghanistan who are fighting for their lives as the United States withdrawals after twenty years. We hope for a great outcome.
